JAMMU, Sept 28: Police today detained a citizen of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) along with `jehadi literature’ when he reached Poonch through weekly bus services from Rawlakote in PoK. He has been identified as Mohammad Aslam Malik, 68, son of Dil Pazeer, a resident of Rawalpindi, presently putting up in PoK.
Reports said Malik, who was on way to Gambhir Mugalan in Rajouri to meet his divided family members including brothers, was detained as Chakan-Da-Bagh in Poonch when he was found carrying two `jehadi magazines’.
Malik had earlier come twice to Rajouri to meet his brothers and this was his third visit. Under the Rules, a person can travel three times in two years on the permit.
Official sources said the issue of Malik carrying `jehadi literature’ has been taken up with the authorities in PoK and he was likely to be deported to PoK tomorrow from Chakan-Da-Bagh.
Malik was born Indian but had crossed over to PoK in 1965.
