KATHUA, Sept 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee PoJK 1947, president, Bhushan Sharma while welcoming the repealing of Articles 370 and 35A from the State complimented the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah for this bold and daring decision.
Talking to reporters here, today he said that repealing of Article 370 has carved out a way for displaced persons who were neglected and deprived of their legitimate rights for their permanent settlement. He said it has now become the responsibility of the Central Government to mitigate their suffering by resolving their issue including one time settlement in accordance with JPC report on Home Affairs.
He said that they want the reservation of their wards as well as compensation for their left out properties in PoJK, their micro level issues viz a viz mutation of land under their dwellings, compensation for the deficient land allotted, inclusion of DP having supplementary records for getting relief package, inclusion of DP families for relief residing in State since decades having out side registration who have been over looked till today and no adequate and serious attention has been paid even by incumbent Government to address the same.
Among others Tej Ram, Darshan Lal, Nand Lal and Dheeraj Sharma were present in the press conference.
