PoJK DPs hold welcome rally for financial package

JAMMU, Nov 9: The displaced persons (DPs) from Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK)  today held welcome rally over the announcement of relief package by Prime Minister on Nov 7, at Exhibition Ground near Press Club here today.
A large number of displaced persons including women activists under the banner of  Jammu and Kashmir PoJK DPs Front-1947, 65 & 71 assembled at  Exhibition Ground and held welcome rally. They extended gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for announcing Rs 5263 crore financial package as one time settlement of the PoJK refugee families. The speakers during the rally expressed their pleasure of the announcement by PM and celebrated the occasion.
Rachhpal Singh Chib, president of the Front, while addressing the gathering extended thanks to the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, Avinash Rai Khanna, Ram Madhav and MP Jugal Kishore for their efforts in providing justice to the POJK DPs. Chib said that the DPs are now hopeful that the Prime Minister would issue necessary directions to Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh to include the other recommendations as also forwarded by JPC for making this package complete.
Chib said that the rehabilitation package will be incomplete till other demands of 10% reservation for the wards of DPs in professional institutions and Jobs, reservation of 8 Assembly and 2 Council seats for DPs are fulfilled and Development Board for the POJK DPs and Chhamb/ West Pakistan refugees is framed.
