JAMMU, Aug 13: To make the students articulate, perfect and outspoken, Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was held at G D Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust from two weeks, which concluded here today.
The competition was held in three stages. In the first stage, all the students were given a chance to recite a poem of their choice in the class. Best five speakers were chosen from each section.
In the second round, the competition was held among these five students, in the class itself and the best speaker was to represent his/her class in the finals that was held today.
In the finals, the speakers spoke on variety of topics ranging from ‘Beti Bachao’, ‘Chacha Nehru’, ‘Samay Ka Pahiya’, ‘Mere Papa’ and ‘Pedh’ etc.
From Class III, Manya stood first and Mast Nivaran claimed second spot, while from Class IV, Gauri bagged the first position and Karen secured second position and from Class V, Sudeksha was declared the winner and Ojus emerged second.
The Principal of the School, Dr RP Singh applauded the efforts of participant.
