PNB organizes Hindi Workshop

JAMMU, Dec 22: Punjab National Bank today organized a Hindi Karyashala (workshop) for its staff members to inculcate in them the habit of using Hindi in their day-to-day office routine.
As many as 25 staff members from different branches of the bank participated in the Karyashala, which was inaugurated by Assistant General Manager, BM Fazili.
Stressing upon the need of using Hindi in the day-to-day routine, Mr Fazili said that maximum use of Hindi will ensure achievement of laid down targets for its implementation .
Secretary of Town official language Implementation Committee, Dr Amar Singh explained in details about Hindi correspondence.
Convenor of the Karyashala and senior manager (Rajbhasha) Jagdish Lal Bangotra explained in details the policy and annual programme in respect of official language.
Prateek Gupta, manager IT explained about the use of Unicode in computer and made the participants exercise upon Unicode in the system.
An on the spot essay competition was also organized while the winners were awarded prizes.
