PNB organizes Financial and Digital Literacy camp

JAMMU, June 24: An awareness camp on Financial and Digital Literacy was organized today at village Bharda Kalan, an unbanked backward area, under block Akhnoor of district Jammu by Punjab National Bank (PNB).
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Veer Ji Fotedar, Branch Head, PNB Akhnoor. About 85 farmers/small shopkeepers/labourers including ladies took part in the camp. They were made aware by Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counsellor, PNB, regarding digital products of the bank.
BHIM app (UPI) and *99# (USSD) was explained in detail to the participants. The benefits of less cash economy were also explained in detail. Further the focus of the programme was on KYC, exercising credit discipline and grievance redressal.
Branch Head of PNB Akhnoor explained in detail to the participants about the deposits and advances in general and KCC loan in particular.
