PULWAMA, Mar 29: Punjab National Bank today opened its 91st branch in J&K and 29th branch at Pulwama.
The opening of the branch was inaugurated by Ashok Gupta, Deputy General Manager and J&K Circle Head in the presence of other bank officials. The opening day function was attended by people across a wide spectrum of society. They included traders, fruit growers’ representatives, professionals as well as people from MSME sector.
The Circle Head, Ashok Gupta giving a brief introduction about bank informed the gathering that PNB was second only to SBI in India with a volume of global business of crores across 6000 branches and client base of 7.5 crore. He also informed that the bank has fair overseas representations with branches/representative offices in Shanghai, Kazakhastan, Afganistan, Canada, Dubai with an independent subsidiary bank in England.
On the occasion, Gupta assured the traders community, fruit growers and the public at large of quality service. The meeting was also addressed by Fruit Growers representatives and G M Pir, Senior Manager PNB Pulwama. The meeting came to an end with the vote of thanks from Rakesh Razdan, Chief Manager, PNB Srinagar.
