JAMMU, Feb 25: Punjab National Bank (PNB), Branch Office Domana organised Financial Awareness-cum-Literacy Camp (FALC) at Village Pandorian, Mishriwala.
A large number of people from Pandorian, Pakhian and Mishriwala area took part in the camp.
This FALC Camp was the part of ongoing campaign of spreading awareness by PNB with the assistance of NABARD, RBI among people of unbanked and backward areas.
Arun Gupta, Senior Manager, Punjab National Bank, Domana in his address gave detailed information of various deposits and loan schemes of the bank such as Krishi Card, MUDRA Loans, Agriculture loans and other Financial Inclusion schemes launched by Government of India.
He also made the gathering aware about the different facilities which are available in the bank besides banking products and requested them to make full use of such products.
Sarpanch Gurbachan Singh requested the revenue authorities present in the meeting to ease the procedure of issuing different revenue records which are required for issuance of Krishi Card and for other benefits under Government sponsored schemes.
Ram Lal, Naib Tehsildar Mishriwala in his address briefed the general public about the various ongoing Government schemes and assured all type of assistance and full cooperation of Revenue Department.
Arun Jaral, JAEO, Agriculture Department Mishriwala and VAEA Jasbinder also spoke on the occasion regarding benefits of KCC, Farmers Club Programme besides different agriculture activities under State and Centrally sponsored schemes.
They urged the general public to take benefit of such schemes to uplift their standard of life by getting extra source of income.
Mangal Kudada, Agriculture Officer, gave a detailed information about the agriculture schemes of the bank, while Sat Pal Sharma, District Coordinator urged the people to link themselves more with banks for various Government schemes.
