JAMMU, Nov 13: Under the banner of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Punjab National Bank today organized a function in connection with Bal Diwas at Government Higher Secondary School Jagti and distributed sports items among the students.
The function was inaugurated by Mohd Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations who was accompanied by S K Turki, vice president Bhagwaan Gopi Nath Ji Trust, Udaywala and other trustees.
Speaking on the occasion, M L Mir said that apart from providing support for better education among the students, Bank was also promoting sportsman spirit among them. For that Bank is sponsoring various such programmes.
He reiterated the commitment of the Bank towards empowering growth and all-round development of the school children. He conveyed that under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Bank, the PNB shall always be at the forefront of taking philanthropic initiatives in the State.
On this occasion, cricket kits, badminton rackets, football kits, volleyball, carom board etc were distributed among the students.
S K Turki said that PNB through its CSR programmes was doing appreciable work in providing a helping hand to such schools.
The programme was organized in collaboration with Bhagwaan Gopi Nath Ji Trust, Udaywala.
R V S Jasrotia, Chief Manager, Circle Office Jammu, Lt Neeraj Anand, Senior Manager Security, Santosh Kumar, Principal of the school, staff members and large number of school children were present at the function.
