JAMMU, July 20: Even as the Covid-19 pandemic has brought the nation to a standstill, Punjab National Bank has come forward with an initiative ‘PNB #FightsCorona’ where bank is distributing sanitizers and masks to needy people across India.
S K Dhupar, Deputy General Manager (DGM), PNB Jammu Circle handed over consignment of masks and sanitizers to Dr J P Singh, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Jammu. He informed that ‘PNB #FightsCorona’ is an initiative of Punjab National Bank where bank is distributing sanitizers and masks across India to needy people especially who cannot afford masks and sanitizers regularly. This is a small token of gesture from Punjab National Bank to the massive efforts being undertaken by the respective district administrations in J&K, added Dhupar.
We at the PNB also salute these doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers who have been working selflessly and relentlessly even at the peril of putting their lives at risk, Dhupar added. He further said that bank is also undertaking initiative for distribution of food packets and groceries to migrant labourers and other needy people.
Dr JP Singh, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), hoped that the bank management will give a lending hand to needy and distress from time to time during this pandemic.
Neeraj Anand AGM, S P Sharma district coordinator and Rakesh Kumar (Senior Manager PNB) were also present at the occasion.
