Sir,
For speedy development of necessary infrastructure in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme (PMRP) does not seem to have been implemented seriously looking to the bad conditions of roads, even the important Highway and the link roads. Most of the projects are either going on at a dead speed or are suspended. Cost escalation by 2 to 8 times is the immediate result of such casual approach which the previous Government has been adopting. The instance of the much hyped Mughal road, or Kishtwar- Batote roads projects have been moving at a lazy pace resulting in huge cost escalation besides hardships to people who would have otherwise benefitted. This trend towards public exchequer by the concerned ministries and high officials needs to be changed in the context of the high profile development and growth emphasis laid for speedy development in the country by the Modi Government.
Yours etc…..
