PMAY under implementation in JK: Dy CM

The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh informed the House that Prime Minister Awas Yojana (PMAY) is under implementation in the state which envisages ‘Housing for all by 2022.’

The Deputy Chief Minister was replying to a question raised by Ashok Khajuria in the Upper House.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that PMAY-HFA (U) and PMAY (G) mission aim at addressing the aggregate housing demand by 2022.

Dr Singh said that PMAY is under implementation in entire state.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that under PMAY-HFA (Urban), central assistance of Rs 1.50 lacs and state share of Rs 16,666 for construction of each house for identified economically weaker section household is admissible under beneficiary led construction.

Whereas financial assistance of Rs 1.30 lac per house is being implemented in rural areas, by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, PMAY–Grameen to eligible beneficiary.

Dr Singh informed said that Rs 12000 for construction of Toilet units in convergence with SBM (G) / MGNREGA and 90-95 days of unskilled wage labour under MG NREGA over and above is also admissible.
