PM speaks Dogri, Kashmiri

JAMMU, Feb 3: Striking a chord with his audience, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today began his speech with some sentences in Dogri language at rally in Vijaypur, Samba and articulating a few lines in Kashmiri at SKICC, Srinagar.
The PM invited thunderous applause and cheers amidst chanting of Modi, Modi slogans by the audience as soon as he began with, “Mere Bheno Te Bharao, Mata Vaishno Devi Te Bawe Wali Mata De Bulawe Upar Itthe Aane Da Mouka Lagya Ae (my sisters and brothers, on the call of Mata Vaishno Devi and Bawe Wali Mata, I got the opportunity to come here).”
Describing Jammu Kashmir as the land of warriors, Modi recited a few lines of the popular Dogri folk song “As Dogre Aan Aakhne Aa Shane Kanne, Asse Jitiyan Ne Janga Ghamsane Kanne” (We take pride in calling ourselves Dogras, we have won the battles by fights).
Also sounding election bugle in Dogri, he called for taking pledge at the Vijaypur rally for victory in the forthcoming elections and said that 2019 Lok Sabha election is the fight for taking the country forward (2019 Di Jung Bhi Agge Jane Di Jung Hai).
He concluded brief part of his Dogri speech by stressing for collective efforts for taking the country towards path of development and progress by saying, “Aao Rali Miliye Desh Gi Tarakki Di Rah Uppar Leyi Chalchei.”
At SKICC Srinagar, Prime Minister began his speech in Kashmiri saying: “I welcome you all here. In this extreme cold I have come here with the message of love. I have come here for your prosperity. I have come here to address the Panchs and Sarpanchs”.
