PM pays tribute to Rajendra Prasad on birth anniversary

NEW DELHI, Dec 3:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tributes to India’s first President          Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary.
”I bow to Dr Rajendra Prasad on his birth anniversary. Our nation owes a lot to him for his inspiring leadership at a crucial time,” the Prime Minister said in a statement.
Born on this day in 1884,  Prasad, a lawyer by training, joined the Indian National Congress during the Indian Independence Movement and rose to become President of the newly-independent country. (UNI)
