PM Modi inaugurated incomplete projects eyeing elections: PCC chief

UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani today took a dig at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating incomplete projects, in the run up to the general elections, eyeing votes while Dr Manmohan Singh had not inaugurated the Udhampur – Katra railway line despite complete, without final technical clearance of the same.
Addressing the meetings of party leaders and functionaries at Udhampur and Batote today, representing 12 Assembly segments of Udhampur and Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban districts Vikar Rasool Wani said that Prime Minister was in hurry in view of coming elections to inaugurate incomplete projects like Railway line from Katra to Banihal and AIIMS etc which are still incomplete and even OPD not started yet.

The railway project from Udhampur – Katra, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi, was completed by Congress Government headed by Dr Manmohan Singh but not inaugurated by him, despite fully completed, due to lack of final technical clearance. Just after a month after taking over as PM, Modi inaugurated the said project as a result the train with passengers remained struck up on way for full day, due to Modi’s publicity hunger.
He said the work on Banihal- Baramulla stretch was also completed and train started by Dr Manmohan Singh Government while the Work on the Katra – Banihal link including the highest bridge was in progress and still incomplete except the small portion of Sangaldan to Banihal but inaugurated pre- maturely for election’s to mislead the people outside J&K by media publicity.
Similarly, the AIIMS project is incomplete and even OPD could not be started 15 days after inauguration which was promised by 1st March. The people of Jammu region had held a two months long agitation for getting AIIMS project and not gift of BJP.
JKPCC Chief said that this is for the first time that Prime Minister of the country is inaugurating incomplete projects for elections and misleading the people of the country on the issue of development in Jammu & Kashmir. He asked party leaders to gear up their activities and go for mass contact programs in their respective areas and apprise the positive agenda of Congress exposing the divisive and misleading agenda of BJP.
Several senior leaders including Ravinder Sharma, Naresh Gupta, Krishan Bhagat, Dina Nath Bhagat, Ashok Dogra, Sham Lal Bhagat, Shameema Raina, Pawan Raina, Shakeel Shah, PL Shan, Balbir Singh, Riyaz Sheikh, Sanjeev Panda, Rajveer Singh, Vinod Khajuria, Sheikh Mujeeb, Parvaiz Wani, Asif Naqeeb, Bhanu Mahajan, Sumit Magotra were also present.
