BANDIPORA Mar 2: As part of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s outreach programme in Jammu and Kashmir, MP, Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana today held a public meeting at Sumbal in district Bandipore.
Addressing a massive gathering of BJP workers, Gulam Ali Khatana said that PM Narendra Modi has laid special focus on development and peace in the UT of J&K especially the hitherto under-developed areas.
He said during the Central rule in the UT, tremendous developmental initiatives have been taken place and they are showing results on ground.
Khatana said that massive ground swell in the public meeting shows the faith of people in Kashmir in the policies and programmes of BJP. He said that earlier governments only exploited the people while doing little on ground. He said peace and prosperity is returning in UT slowly but surely.
Khatana said that visit of more than 1.6 crore tourists in the UT speaks for itself.
Later he reviewed various developmental schemes with the officers of district Bandipore. People of Bandipora warmly welcomed him and other BJP leaders in the district.
Prabhari Arif Raja, district president, Bandipora Naseer Ahmad Lone, DDC Gurez, Aijaz Khan and others were present on the occasion.
While speaking BJP ST Morcha State president, Choudhary Roshan Hussain, said that the party should be strengthened on grass root level. He also appealed the party workers to reach every household especially Tribal community and solve their issues.
Ghulam Ali Khatana, while talking to the media persons on the sidelines of the function said Modi Led Govt’s top priority is the development of JK.
He further said that those who have grabbed the State land will face the law and poor need not to worry about that.
