Plus 2 PSC Lecturers Association hopes positive response on its demands

JAMMU, Jan 17: A meeting of Central Executive body of All J&K Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Association was held here under the chairmanship of vice-president Mansoor Ahmed Khan for discussing the issues of Plus 2 PSC Lecturers.
The meet expressed complete satisfaction over the response of Advisor K K Sharma over their demands during a recently held meeting with him and hoped a positive response on their issues very soon.
It is worthwhile to mention that K K Sharma, when he was the chairman of Service Grievance Committee, had agreed in principle that Plus 2 lecturers deserve career progression. On the direction of Service Grievance Committee, the department had constituted a committee to examine the issue but frequent transfers in the department hindered the process, the meet observed.
While highlighting the issues of lecturer community, M A Katoch, the chief spokesperson of the Association, said that no placement of lecturers has been made since 2013 . He said that the process of updating combined seniority of lecturers should be expedited and placement should be made as soon as possible.
In the meeting, the Central executive members appealed Commissioner Secretary to project the demand of ACP as the +2 lecturers are the worst sufferers. Lecturer Association also said that the regularization of Joint Directors, CEOs and Principals is hanging for the last so many years and these officers should be regularized in time bound manner.
