UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Plus 2 lecturers today requested the Secretary JKBOSE to review T-2 date sheet of Higher Secondary Part (HSP) -1 in the interest of the students and issue a revised date sheet starting T2 exams from around April 20.
The issued was discussed threadbare in the monthly meeting of the district unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum.
In the meeting, a large number of Plus 2 lecturers expressed their concern over the date sheet for HSP-1 Summer Zone, 2017-18 issued by the JKBOSE. They said that the T2 session of class HSP-1 started on January 16, 2018 and the BOSE is going to start the exams from April 2, 2018. “Thus, a period of only about two and a half months has been provided to the teachers to teach the syllabus of T2 and deliver the prescribed lectures”, they regretted.
“Moreover, recently orders have been issued by various CEOs reportedly on the directions of Minister for Education that on the days of the Board Exams of 10th and 12th, the schools where the centres for these exams have been constituted, will remain closed for the students and the staff. As a result the teaching learning activities in such schools have been severely affected as the working days of such schools have been further reduced drastically. Thus, the students have been left with very little time to prepare for their 2nd Terminal Test”, they added.
The members requested the Secretary JKBOSE to review the T-2 date sheet of HSP-1 and give a break of at least one day before each paper in the date sheet so that students can prepare for their T2 exams quite well. The speakers also demanded that the date for submission of result of 5th to 9th classes be extended for such schools in which work remained affected due to recent Board exams.
