Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum calls on Principal Secretary Alok Kumar

Jammu, Jan 25: A delegation of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, led by its President, Pardeep Singh Rakwal, called on Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Alok Kumar in his office Chamber in Civil Secretariat Jammu and had a detailed discussion on various issues confronting the +2 Cadre.
The delegation apprised the Principal Secretary of resentment among I/C lecturers because of unnecessary delay in their regularisation in Science stream, including those I/C lecturers who have acquired their PG degrees through distance mode and fulfill the conditions as laid down in Govt Order No.940-Edu of 2017 dated 17.11.2017 and SRO-339 of 2005.
The delegation presented all Govt orders before the Principal Secretary and urged him to issue regularisation orders in the light of these Govt orders without going for verification of PG Degrees yet again as these lecturers have been posted after long verification by Director School Education Jammu/ Kashmir and the universities from where they have pursued their PG degrees and which are recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) & Distance Education Council (DEC).
It was also brought into the notice of Principal Secretary that these lecturers had got permission to pursue PG degrees and leave entries were made in their respective service records.
Besides Rakwal, Gh Nabi, Pardeep Koul, R K Uppal and Bal Krishan briefed Alok Kumar regarding the matter of regularisation and grant of ACP in favour of officers of +2 Cadre.
According to the Forum, the Principal Secretary gave a sympathetic hearing to the delegation and called Special Secretary, Naseer Wani to his chamber to have detailed feedback regarding the issue of regularisation and grant of ACP. The Principal Secretary assured that all I/C lecturers including those holding PG degrees through distance mode in Science stream would be regularized in the light of Govt Order No.940-Edu of 2017 & SRO- 349 and no Lecturer would be left unregularised/ unconfirmed. Regarding ACP, he assured that the department is working on it.
Later, the delegation also met Special Secretary Kanta Devi & Special Secretary Naseer Wani in their office chambers separately and had a detailed deliberations with them regarding regularisation and ACP.
The delegation comprised of Dr Jyoti Prakash, Gulam Nabi Malik, Bal Krishan, R K Uppal, Yogeshwar Sharma, Sudesh Kumar, Rattan Chand, Pawan Kumar and others.
