JAMMU, June 5: A delegation of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum, led by its working president Deepak Sharma, called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and discussed with him burning issues concerning +2 cadre.
Forum sought his intervention in immediate revocation of New Recruitment Policy under SRO-202, which they alleged is totally unjust, ingenuine and discriminatory in nature and has been applied only to one section of Gazetted Officers i.e. newly appointed 10+2 lecturers, wherein they will have to serve in Zone-III (hard areas) initially for 5 years on one hand and will be paid only a meagre consolidated salary.
Forum also drew attention of DyCM towards repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS Cadre working in Education Department to their parent cadre and posting of Joint Directors from School Education Department only.
Deepak Sharma said that since +2 cadre/School Education Deptt is not a feeding service to KAS cadre, Officers drawn from KAS cadre cannot be posted in School Education Deptt and further added that this is again in violation to SRO 481.
Members of delegation also urged Deputy CM to prevail upon the Government to address the long pending demand of Running Grade (time bound promotion) in favour of +2 Lecturers, regularization of all Incharge incumbents, release of promotion lists of Joint Directors, CEOs, Principals and Sr Lecturers at the earliest, non vacational status to the Principals and removal of their pay disparity.
Dr Nirmal Singh gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to take up all the issues with CM for their earlier redressal.
Those who formed the delegation, included N S Jamwal, Charan Dass, Dr Sushma, R S Slathia, Pardeep Singh, Dr Ashok, Dr Mukesh, Dr Talwinder, Goldy Salathia, Rashid Mir, Anu and others.
