In order to upgrade and enhance quality education in schools of J&K, the Govt of JK in collaboration with IGNOU started the B.Ed course for untrained teachers of JK in the year 2018. But, unfortunately, the study centre where the teachers are supposed to submit their first year assignments as well as personal contact programme is nowhere in sight.The term end exams for first year are conducted in the month of December 2018 without the submission of Ist year assignments and without any personal contact programme.Now we are in the second year of the same course and we are still waiting for centre to be established for submission of Ist year and second year assignments.We got information that our 2nd year internship and 12 days workshop will be conducted during summer vacations 2019. But unfortunately even after the opening of schools after summer vacations, there is no clear directive from the concerned authorities. Moreover books for second year hasn’t been dispatched to the trainee teachers.Our 2nd year exams are few months away and we are really disappointed by the casual approach of IGNOU and school education department of J&K.
We therefore request you to direct the concerned authorities to address the most genuine grievances of teachers.
