This is to draw the attention of the Education Minister towards the falling standard of education in Kishtwar district.
The studies of poor students have been badly affected in schools due to attachments. The transfers made in the recent past are in violation of Transfer Policy enacted by the Government for smooth functioning of schools. Some transfers have been made within a radius of one kilometer, leaving the deserving teachers in far flung areas in lurch.
It has also come into notice that some transfers were cancelled soon after political intervention was made on behalf of these teachers.
Verbal attachments continue to persist despite strict orders from the higher authorities to ensure detachments at the earliest. Besides, students do not have received their uniform when half of the session has already passed. This situation has arisen not on account of shortage of funds but on parts of the heads of schools who have been very apathetic to the cause of students.
These problems have afflicted the smooth functioning of schools in the area, and needs to be addressed by the Education Minister.
