Players show composure, promise in Sportathon Cup 2016

JAMMU, Nov 4: Players displayed talent and skill, besides showing composure and promise in the ongoing Sportathon Cup 2016, here.
The inaugural Football match was played between Heritage Public School and DBN Talab Tillo in which Heritage won the match by 3-0. Gurmeet, Harshdeep and Aryan Sethi score one goal each. The match was officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ricky, Rocky and Elizha Sotra.
In Under-14 (Girls) Table Tennis fnals, Ragini of DPS beat Pranika of Heritage by a margin of 11-1,11-3, while in another match, Aadishree of DPS defeated  Iknoor of Heritage by a margin of 11-3 and 11-7.
In doubles, the duo of DPS trounced Heritage by a margin of 11-5 and 11-0.
In Under- 14 Category, DPS stood first and Heritage remined second.
In Under-16 (Girls) the first match was played between Heritage Public and DPS where DPS won by a margin of 3-0, while the second match was played between K C Public and St. Xavier where KCPS won by a margin of 3-0.
In the finals, Shreya of KCPS beat Suhani of Heritage by a margin of 11-8 and 11-6.
In another match Osheen of KCPS defeated Snehal of  Heritage by a margin of 11-8,11-4, while in doubles, Shreya and Osheen of KCPS drubbed  Suhani and Snehal of Heritage by a margin of 12-10, 4-11 and 11-8.
In Under-16 Category, KCPS stood first and Heritage stood second.
Meanwhile, the first Indoor Cricket match was played between St. Xavier and K C Sports Club.
St. Xavier won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, St. Xavier put up a score of 33 runs in 10 overs. Vishav, Nitin and Abhishek made 6 runs each. For KCSC, Mohd. Hanzala and Harsh took 3 wickets each.
In reply, KCSC chased the target easily in just 8.4 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Mohsin and Hanzala made 13 and 7 runs respectively. From St Xavier, Paras took 4 wickets.
