Play ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender’ staged

REASI, Sept 28: Hindi comedy play ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender’ was staged here today by Abhinaya Kala Manch at NHPC Auditorium Jyotipuram.
The play was written by Ajay Shukla and Directed by Shadab Khan and supported by Union Ministry of Culture.
Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager Salal Power Station (NHPC) was the chief guest while Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Pouni was the guest of honour.
The story of the play revolves around the Mughal emperor Shahjahan and his wish of creating a unique and beautiful monument as a tribute to his beloved late wife Mumtaaz.
The wish of emperor finds struggle with a government officer due to corruption.
Anyhow, the emperor continues the struggle and is trapped in the corrupt system of government working.
In the play Shahjahan gives tender of Taj Mahal to a present day contractor and experiences many problems. At the end he dies without Taj Mahal as in now days people die without completion of home.
The artist who performed in the play were Neeraj Kesar, Shadab Khan, Anil Kumar, Pritam Kumar, Rajesh Ajnabi, Arun Verma, Shubam Sawhney, Rohit Kumar, Pallvi Rajput, Pankaj Sharma, Inderjeet Singh, Hardeep Bhagat, Sarita Devi, Akshita Thakur, Ananya Sharma, Rajat Sharma, Reshav Banathia, Anjana Padwal.
