UDHAMPUR, Aug 13: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party president and MLA B S Mankotia has appreciated the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “Na Khaunga, Na Khane Doonga” which he repeated during his recent visit to Ladakh.”
While addressing the press conference at Udhampur today, NPP President and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia said that PM Modi’s remarks on ending the corruption has bolstered the nationalists and progressive people who were looking forward for a man who has the grit to fight the menace of corruption and no just slogans only. He said that Jammu and Kashmir State which has been tagged as the most corrupt state of the country needs some corrective measures in fact a major surgery to rid it of the scourge of corruption.
“But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to start the elimination of corruption and corrupt from its own party in Jammu and Kashmir, which has been (in)famous, become synonymous for corruption for its ‘Cash for Vote’ scam and the exposure of the top leaders by none else than Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during a public function at Jammu Club,” said Mr. Mankotia adding, ” expulsion of seven MLAs accused of ‘Cash for Vote’ scam and then re-entry of six of them in the party without giving any reasons to the common man raises question mark over what the PM says and what the local leadership is practicing.”
Mr. Mankotia said that NPP would follow the call of PM to expose the corrupt elements in letter and spirit. He urged the Prime Minister to probe the allegations of CM Omar Abdullah against BJP leadership.
Mr. Mankotia further said that panthers party has launched a strong agitation against the Railway department for appointing / deploying the youth from Kashmir valley and others areas as gang man while neglecting the local youth of Udhampur district in Jammu province. The Panthers Party workers with the support of students and un employed youth has started this movement against Railway Department at Panchayat level. He appealed all to join protest rally on August 16 at Udhampur Railway Station at 10 am.
