PK launches sanitisation drive; distributes ration, other items

JAMMU, May 25: In its commitment towards addressing issues pertaining to displaced Hindu community of Kashmir during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Panun Kashmir (PK) today visited Jagti camp and Nagrota TRT on the outskirts of Jammu and launched a sanitisation drive there.
PK under the leadership of its Chairman visited Jagti Camp and Nagrota TRT and interacted with the camp dwellers and their representatives.
Dr Ajay Chrungoo accompanied by Kuldeep Raina, general secretary, Daya Krishan Koul, vice chairman, Bihari Lal Koul, organizing secretary, Lenin Bhat, Tito Ganjoo, Bitu Bhat, Piarelal Pandita and Nitin Dhar kick started free sanitization drive in Jagti Camp from Mata Kheer Bhawani temple premises. The portable sanitization equipments will be stationed in Jagti to be used for regular sanitization activity of dwelling unit, the PK leaders said in a handout.
The PK leaders also paid a visit to Sub District Hospital in Jagti and commended Dr Anirudh Kaul for his selfless exhibition of professional ethics in current pandemic. Recognising the selfless activism and commitment of Divya Pandita, a law scholar stationed in SDH Jagati and acting as a volunteer in vaccination drive, PK gave a financial assistance of Rs 10,000.
Panun Kashmir team donated dry ration to COVID centers in Jagti and also distributed COVID essentials like Oximeters, masks, sanitizers, besides PPE to its volunteers.
Panun Kashmir team was accompanied by residents Bushan Lal Bhat, Satish Kumar Pandita, Veer ji, Ramesh Padru, Anil Koul, Sushil pandita and Avtar Krishen Dhar.
