JAMMU, June 7: Panun Kashmir (PK) and other KP organizations have reiterated their demand regarding CBI probe into the killing of JKP cop Sameer Bhat whose dead body was fished out from river Puhroo in Handwara tehsil of North Kashmir district Kupwara this morning.
In a joint statement issued here, today PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo while expressing their shock over the killing of a brave heart cop in his prime youth said they smell a rat in the killing which may be a part of big conspiracy.
The PK leaders said that nothing except a CBI probe can unravel the facts about the cause and reasons of the cold blooded murder of the cop by the SPO and satisfy the community.
The PK leaders while criticizing the Government accused it of trying to hush up the matter at first stage deliberately and delayed quizzing the SPO soon after the cop went missing. It also tried to fabricate the case to lose the significance which reveals that Government was trying to hide the facts and protect the killers.
They said the family of the cop was neglected deliberately and were not provided any help during their stay at Srinagar despite the fact that they had no place to take refuge there.
The ailing parents of cop pleaded before everyone for help but nobody showed any willingness in the administration on the humanitarian basis to give audience to them while the administration was busy in fabricating the stories about the cop.
Both Dr Agnishekhar and Dr Ajay Chrungoo demanded that the family be provided the compensation as admissible under rules to police martyrs and the next kin of the cop be provided a Government job instead of misleading the community about the death.
They warned entire Pandit community will be forced to come to streets in case the culprits responsible for his killing were not punished under the law of the land as there are no takers for concocted tales framed by administration about the cop’s murder.
Meanwhile All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) president Desh Rattan has also warned a massive agitation in case the family of the cop was denied justice. Rattan who met the Police authorities at Srinagar yesterday demanded that the culprits responsible for the murder of the brave cop be brought to book. He said entire community is solidly with the family in seeking justice for it.
Shadi Lal Pandita president Soan Kashmir Front has also assured full support to Panun Kashmir and other organizations on the issue and demanded that the family be given compensation permissible under norms to the police martyrs besides a job to next kin.
He said entire KP community settled all over globe is solidly behind the bereaved family and they are pledged to grant justice to it by taking the battle to the highest court of country if need be.
