SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Police today arrested a person and recovered a pistol that he had stolen from security guard of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s aide Waheedur Rehman Parra early this week.
Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police apprehended Suhail Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Rajab Bhat of Zaffron Colony, Pampore along with a pistol during a raid in Pampore.
Bhat had stolen the pistol from one of the PSOs of Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, PDP youth president and Political Analyst to Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, last week from a local hotel in Srinagar.
Bhat was working in the hotel and he had decamped with the pistol and was missing since then. Police have registered a case and started further investigations.
