KATRA, Nov 18: A pilgrim to holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi slipped to death here today after performing darshan at Bhawan.
He has been identified as Vivek Chabhra, 48, son of Lajpat Chabhra of Delhi, a police spokesman said. He fell down from a hotel at Katra where he was staying with his friends after returning from Bhawan, he added.
He was rushed to nearby Emergency Hospital in the holy town immediately where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The dead body was later handed over to family members after conducting legal formalities, the spokesman said.
