KATRA, Feb 7: A Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh died here today because of cardiac arrest while one person was injured in collision between car and Load Carrier at Didi Morh Katra.
Reports said that a pilgrim, namely Naveen Maadan (48), son of Hans Raj Maadan of Muzaffrabad (UP), suddenly fell unconscious at Katra and his family members took him to CHC Katra where Doctors declared him as brought dead.
Later, the dead body was shifted to mortuary room at CHC Katra for legal formalities.
Meanwhile, an accident took place at Didi Morh Katra when a car JK02AG-2378, going towards Katra from Reasi and Auto Load Carrier (JK20-8271) coming from opposite direction, collided head on. One auto passenger namely Om Parkash (47), son of Bodh Raj of Bhangal, Agharjitto, Katra, was injured in the accident. He was shifted to CHC Katra and then refer to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
