KATHUA, Dec 11: All J&K ITI Trained and CP Workers Association today held a massive protest rally at Kathua to show their resentment against the pick and choose policy of Government in proceeding the process of on lining the data of daily wagers and need based workers. The protest rally was led by Tanveer Hussain, President All J&K ITI Trained and CP Workers Association. Hundreds of daily wagers of all around Kathua district were present in the rally.
Addressing the rally Tanveer accused the State Government of nepotism in regularization of daily wagers and need based workers of PHE Department. He said that it is very unfortunate due to intervention of DyCM of State biometric record of only 90 employees is made online who are his favourites where as 220 workers who are working since last 10-15 years have been ignored. These workers will suffer a lot due to this nepotism and they will be deprived of their regularization. Besides, they will not get their salaries unless their biometric online record is uploaded, he added.
Tanveer warned the administrative officers and government of playing with the future of the hundreds of daily wagers and need base workers. He demanded that the online window should be opened again and all the left out employees should be added so that the people who were working on ground should avail the benefit. He warned the Government that if it will not stop nepotism in regularization of daily wagers they will be left with no option but to come on roads and launch a massive agitation.
Others who were present during the rally include Deepak Gupta, vice president All J&K ITI Trained and CP Workers Association, Bhanu Partap general secretary, Association, Sanjeev Kumar, Jeevan Singh and others.
