JAMMU, Sept 8: Two unidentified assailants tonight attacked a photographer with sharp edged weapons at Samachak area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kanaachak and robbed him of his gold chain.
According to a police spokesperson, the victim identified as Ajay Kumar son of Jeet Raj of Samachak was on his way to home after closing his photo studio namely Mehboob Digital Studio at Samachak when two unidentified assailants came on a bike, intercepted him and suddenly attacked him with sharp edged weapons.
In the scuffle, the victim received some injuries on his neck. Meanwhile, the assailants managed to escape from the spot after snatching the gold chain of the victim which he was wearing.
The injured photographer was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
