PHE workers stage protest, demand release of wages

UDHAMPUR, June 19: Facing starvation after being denied their wages for the last 55 months, the PHE daily wagers today staged protest demonstration at Divisional office here today.
The employees assembled under the banner of PHE Employees United Front while senior Trade Union leader Som Nath was leading the protest. They were carrying banners and placards depicting their demands and staging protest in support of their long pending issues.
Som Nath while speaking on the occasion said that PHE daily wagers/ consolidated workers are performing their duty regularly but they have been denied their hard earned wages by the Government. Government did not release their salary despite many protests and representations. Their families have been left to face starvation. He said the Government has miserably failed to solve the pending issues of the workers.
He also demanded regularisation of CP/ITI/ LC workers, remove shortage of staff in various pumping/ water stations and PHE offices, clear pending SRO-43 cases, conduct DPC of all cadre, increase Medical allowance of workers and change the designation of the employees as per their nature of job.
He appealed the workers and employees to remain united for their common cause. He said that they will intensify their struggle if the Government failed to resolve pending issues of the PHE workers.
Senior members Vijay Sharma, Suraj Parkash, Dinesh Kesar, Prabhu Lal, Amit Dubey, Bansi Lal, Shakoor, Ajay Salmaria also spoke on the occasion.
