RAJOURI, Sept 25: The PHE workers staged protest at Thannamandi town today. They were on strike for the last three days, demanding their regularization.
Due to their strike the general public of Thannamandi area suffered badly but today on the assurance of local administration/ Tehsildar Thannamandi, they resumed work. For the last three days, due to stoppage of water supply by them the public was suffering.
Tehsildar told employees that their salary will be released as the matter will be taken up with higher authorities for redressal. He also asked employees to work regularly and don’t stop water supply as it effects public directly. After assurance from Tehsildar Thannamandi they lifted the dharna and decided to resume their duty.
