PHE workers hold protest, project demands

REASI, May 26: Public Health Engineering (PHE) Workers Welfare Association today took out a protest rally under the leadership of district president Anil Sharma in support of their long-pending demands here today.
The employees raised slogans against the anti-worker policies adopted by the authorities of the Public Health Engineering Department, Coalition Government and district administration.
The protestors demanded regularisation of both ITI and non-ITI workers after five years like ReT pattern, release of all pending wages of workers for the past 14 to 37 months, disbursement of wages to all sorts of PHE workers before 15th of every month regularly and framing of new concrete requirement policy for the PHE Department.
The rally started from PHE Division Office and after passing through main bazar culminated at DC Office where a charter of demands was submitted to the DC Reasi.
DC Reasi listened to the workers patiently and ensured redressal of their genuine demands at the earliest.
Among others present were Subash Verma, provisional general secretary of the association and State president of BMS, Tara Mani, Shafi Malik, Munshi Ram, Devinder Thakur, Rashpal Singh, Bhanu Sharma, Ranga Singh, etc.
