JAMMU, Sept 9: In support of their long pending demand of regularization of their services, the daily rated ITI trained and CP workers of PHE Department struck work from today and held protest dharna today under the chairmanship of Tanveer Hussain.
While addressing Tanveer Hussain and others said that despite working in the department for more than decades they are still awaiting regularization. They said they have so far held protest demonstrations for umpteen times but their demands have remained unfilled despite constitution of various committees and sub-committees in this regard by the authorities at the helm of affairs.
Other prominent leaders who addressed included Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Kulbhushan Singh, Jeevan Singh, Chandan Singh, Raman Khajuria, Birbal Jasmeria, Kamlesh Kumar, Ajay Smalia, Tilak Raj, Ripak Singh, Manish Abrol, Devinder Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Manjeet Singh, Kuldeep Chowdhary, Sanjeev Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Intikhab Hussain, Romy Verma, Yogesh Kumar, Dushyant, Maqbool Hussain, Sajjad Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmed and Altaf Hussain.
