JAMMU, Nov 5: Water Works (PHE) Employees Association, expressing solidarity with the agitating workers and employees has decided to support their protest demonstration to be held on November 8 under the banner of J&K Government Employees, Casual Labourers, Workers and Pensioners’ United Platform.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of PHE Employees Association held under the presidentship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, who said more than 60,000 daily rated workers were still awaiting regularization for the last more than 20 years but the State Government has not come up with a viable and logical policy for this working class.
Shiv Kumar Sharma stressed upon unity and solidarity among all the employees and pensioners of the State. He appealed the employees and workers and also the pensioners to make November 8 protest a big success with maximum participation in it.
