JAMMU, Sept 28: PHE Employees United Front (PEUF) has claimed that Chief Engineer PHE today invited representatives of daily wagers for negotiation which failed after hour-long discussions.
In a handout Front announced extension of their ongoing strike for next 72 hours and claimed that UT administration has adopted criminal silence on the issues of daily wagers.
“The administration is playing with the sentiments of poor daily wagers which is injustice,” the Front stated in the handout appealing the LG, Manoj Sinha to personally intervene into the matter to resolve it as soon as possible. Front members who met the Chief Engineer were Mohan Lal, Vijay Kumar, Binkel Manhas, Jyoti Parkash, Navdeep Singh, Ravi Hans, Bhanu Partap, Hoshiar Singh, Rajinder Singh Taj and Rashpal Singh.
