JAMMU, May 4: A PHE employee died today after he fell down from a water tanker in Bathindi area of city outskirts.
“Satya Parkash (54) son of Tej Ram Kohli, resident of Bakshi Nagar, who was deployed with a PHE water tanker sustained serious injuries today at about 11 AM when while climbing on the top of the tanker in Malik Market area he got slipped and fell down”, a police official said.
He said that with serious head injuries, the injured was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 2.45 PM. “After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he added.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
