JAMMU, June 19: The PHE daily wagers who have been protesting here for the last one year seeking regularisation, today warned to oppose Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s proposed rally in Jammu.
Shah is expected to address a mega public rally in Jammu on June 23 as part of Bharatiya Janata Party’s observation of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s “Balidan Diwas.”
“With J&K directly being controlled by the Centre, we will apprise Amit Shah, the head of the UT, about our grievances, through a rally on June 23,” said one of the daily wagers, who claimed the rally, would start on June 22.
He said that the agitating PHE employees, who are on dharna for the last 362 days, have apprised all the senior officials and the political leaders about their grievances but thus far their issues remain unaddressed.
According to him, LG Manoj Sinha promised to look into their genuine grievances in September last year but as on date nothing has happened on the ground.
He said PDD and Municipal employees are being regularised in J&K but the requests of the PHE employees for regularisation are falling on the deaf ears, resulting in problem to the employees.
Meanwhile, he appealed the PHE employees of all the districts to gather in Jammu on June 22 to take out a massive rally and to oppose Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally on June 23.
Pertinently, the agitating PHE employees have been demanding regularisation and release of the pending wages.
