JAMMU, Dec 17: 1st Executive Committee meeting of PHDCCI Jammu Chapter was held today under the chairmanship of Rahul Sahai.
While welcoming the members of Executive Committee, Sahai said that PHD Chamber’s theme and vision of progress, harmony and development is aligned with the aim and objective of skill development, mentoring of young entrepreneurs, start-ups in the industry, building nation’s economy and overall growth of the Industry which is the need of the hour and to facilitate the processes in order to make it competitive.
Sahai thanked National president of PHDCCI  Saket Dalmia and described him as a young, vibrant and visionary leader. He will be available for his support, guidance and cooperation for the initiatives taken by the Jammu Chapter.
Rahul formerly Introduced new Co Chair of PHDCCI Jammu Chapter Samar Dev Singh Charak, secretary Dogra Educational Trust In the meeting, three expert committees were also formed. The committees that were formed were MSME Committee which will be headed by Anil Sharma of Anil R Sharma & Co , Information Technology (IT) Committee headed by Arush Mahajan of Branding Elves Pvt Ltd and Law & Taxation Committee headed by Shantnu Gupta of RC Gupta & Co.
Chairman PHDCCI briefed the members about activities of Jammu Chapter in 2021-22 and also shared the list of activities planned by it during 2022-23.
Charak proposed the formal vote of thanks. He said that PHDCCI is committed to work towards resolving the genuine issues and concerns of the industry and society at large.
The Executive Committee meeting was followed by an interaction with G Velladurai, Joint Director & Head MSME Jammu, Ministry of MSME, Government of J&K. Welcoming Velladurai, Sahai said that Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) constitute a major part of the industrial activity in most of the economies, irrespective of the level of economic development attained. MSMEs constitute around 80% of the total number of industrial enterprises and produce a wide variety of products ranging from the very basic to the highly sophisticated products.
Velladurai cleared various queries of the members related to Udhyam Registration. He briefed about various schemes available for MSME’s by the Department of MSME. He spoke in length about the Cluster Development Scheme of MSME. Several questions related to Cluster development scheme were answered by him.
Several members including Kuldeep Gupta, Ashish Jain, Raj Dua, Sanjay Aggarwal, Harbinder Singh, Ajay Jagotra and Amarpreet Singh were also present.
