JAMMU, June 20: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), J&K State Committee, has demanded creation of Airport Advisory Committee for early and effective resolution all the problems regarding Jammu Airport.
In a meeting held here today, the Committee appreciated the role of Airport Director, Ramesh Kumar and SSP Jammu, Airport for early resolution of Passenger load factor, which it said had been creating a lot of hardships to pilgrims and tourists taking flights out of Jammu.
Later a PHDCCI delegation also met Airport Director and had threadbare discussions regarding problems pertaining to Jammu Airport including extension of Runway, delay in handover of land by Army authorities, expansion of Airport building, repair and upgradation of existing runway and increase in operational hours including commencement of late evening flights.
PHD Chamber also assured the Airport authorities of its full cooperation for resolution of all issues.
