They also protested against using the nomenclature of ‘Lecturer’ instead of ‘ Assistant Professor for Academic Arrangement teachers working in various degree colleges and universities of Jammu and Kashmir.
The participants said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other local reasons, scholars have lost many precious years without getting any job opportunities.
“In this regard, we request the Lieutenant Governor to consider the increase in upper age limit for PSC and SSB posts so that career of many scholars could be-saved who are about to cross the upper age limit in immediate future,” they said.
They appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to address their issues on humanitarian grounds.
