JAMMU, Sept 14: Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association (JKGPA) under the leadership of Sushil Sudan today held a protest demonstration here at Shashi Bala Memorial Park against rescinding order of promoted Senior Pharmacists.
A large number of Government Pharmacists this morning assembled at Shashi Bala Memorial Park and raised slogans against the Health Department for issuing rescinding order of promoted Senior Pharmacists.
The protesting pharmacists also gheraoed Dr Baljeet Singh Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu. They demanded immediate revocation of the rescinding order failing which they said that the association may adopt agitational path which will lead to paralyzing of institutional work throughout Jammu Division.
Later, the protesting pharmacists submitted a memorandum to Commissioner/Secretary to Government Health and Medical Education, J&K, through Director, Health Service Jammu.
Prominent among the protestors were Jarnail Choudhary, working president of the association, Kamaljeet Sawhney, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, RP Singh, Shafkat Hussain, Yougal Bakshi, Raman Sharma and Manjeet Singh.
