Pharmacists highlight demands

UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: A meeting of District Pharmacists Association, Udhampur, was held under the chairmanship of district president J D Sharma, here today at the District Hospital premises.
The meet highlighted various demands, which included implementation of Government order number 182 HME of 2002 dated 15-02-2002 designating Pharmacists for the promotion of CHO, creation of posts of Theatre Assistants, Anesthesia Assistant, Audiometery Technician, dialysis Technician and ECG Technician, adjustment of trained unemployed Pharmacists under NRHM scheme, filling up of all vacant posts of Pharmacists in Health department, holding of DPC for promotion of Pharmacists and implementation of Government order number HME 48 of 1988, which has been implemented partially.
The Association resolved to bring all these issues and demands in the notice of higher authorities, including Director Health Service Jammu for a positive consideration.
The meeting was attended by Bal Krishan Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Madan Lal, Ravi Kumar, Ramesh Goswami, Sehdev Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Ashok Singh, Khem Raj, Rajesh Khajuria, Ashwani Khajuria, Rajinder Singh, Varinder Singh, Darshan Kumar, Kranti Gupta, Govind Kumar, Pritam Chand, Shiv Kumar, Manik Raychan and Rajeshwar Singh.
The Association also decided to hold monthly meeting of the District pharmacists on 28th of every month.
