JAMMU, Sept 17: A deputation of J&K Post Graduate Teachers Association (PGTA) led by its convener Naresh Kumar, called on Smita Sethi, Director School Education, Jammu.
The Association submitted memorandum of demands which include cancellation/revision of promotion list of 1193 teachers as Masters made by then Director School Education vide order no. DSEJ/NG/M/Prom/7255-68 dated 11-02-2014, enquiry in pick and choose method of transfer made by present CEO Kathua recently and detachment of non-teaching staff attached in CEO office, Kathua.
The Association asked the Director School Education to conduct an enquiry in pick and choose method of transfer of teachers without considering the enrolment of students in the schools but considering utmost comfort of the blue eyed teachers at priority. They also urged the Director School Education to detach all the non-teaching staff attached in the CEO office Kathua.
Director School Education gave a patience hearing and assured the deputation for early redressal of the demands.
Paramjit Singh, Pawan Kumar Sharma, Rohit Kumar, Shakti Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Arun Kumar, Rajesh Gutpa, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Gulshan Kumar, Sanjeev Gupta, Bharat Bhushan accompanied the deputation.
