NEW DELHI, May 9: Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care has reported 7.59 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 86.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 mainly on account of robust sales.
It had posted net profit of Rs 80.76 crore for the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal, PGHH said in a filing to BSE.
Net sales of the company also rose to Rs 554.84 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 500.35 crore for the same period year ago.
“Both the Feminine Care and Health care businesses continued to deliver strong sales growth in a competitive market environment behind superior value propositions and strength of products portfolio. Old Spice continues to deliver in line with expectations,” the company said.
In another filing, the company said that Pramod Agarwal has been appointed as an additional director (non-executive director) of the firm with effect from May 8, 2015. (PTI)
