PG course at IGGDC Jammu

It may be recalled that there was not only the resentment in not upgrading the Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC), Jammu but lot of persuasions and struggles in respect of starting PG courses were not bearing any results. On the contrary, in Srinagar such facility was available right from the year 2007. However, better late than never, Union Health Ministry has, now, given its approval for starting such advance courses in seven out of nine specialities in IGGDC, Jammu right from the academic session of 2020-21, a good news for aspiring eligible candidates.
Though initially, there are seven courses only and the seats are 14 in all or 2 in each speciality , to start with , it is hoped that all the nine disciplines would be allowed to be specialised in from this college too and the seat numbers too enhanced in future since Government Dental College Srinagar has been enhanced in seat capacity to 28 and two additional specialities too sanctioned. We also hope that things would go all well , targets would be duly completed so that the permission given by the Central Government is renewed on due date.
