People’s Welfare Society Ganderbal pays tributes to Bhagat Singh

SRINAGAR, Sept 29: Rich tributes were paid to Shaheed Bhagat Singh at a function organized by People’s Welfare Society Ganderbal on his 106th birthday today.
The function was chaired by Mir Ghulam Rasool chairman of the Society. While recalling the role of Shaheed Bhagat Singh he said that he along with other freedom fighters gave supreme sacrifices to make this nation great and prosperous but some vested interests who ruled the nation worked against those principles for which the freedom fighters laid down their lives.
Mir said that the rising unemployment, corruption, communalism, unrest, dynastic rule, criminalization of politics etc have resulted in the present unrest in the country. He appealed the people to work for realization of the goal for attainment of which Bhagat Singh and other comrades laid down their lives.
Mohammed Subhan Dar, Ghulam Mohammed Bhat and Ghulam Ahmed Raina were other members of the Society who paid tributes to Bhagat Singh.
