JAMMU, Sept 27: To promote education, healthcare, and support people during emergencies, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) People’s Hut Foundation was launched here, today. While briefing the media persons during the launch, Dr. Rohit Koul author and writer who is the Director and CEO of the Foundation said “People’s Hut Foundation” is a no for profit Sec 8 Company which is registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and has been approved to work in the domains of Education, Health and Relief. It will begin operations from tomorrow in the City of Temples.
He requested people of the UT to come forward and support them in their vision for the welfare of the people.
He said “We should focus on causes which we are passionate about and where a need exists. Our NGO will focus on its core domains such as education, healthcare, and Relief along with the focus on youth development, youth empowerment, environmental issues, Gender sensitization and others”.
Vikas Pandita ,a well-known social worker who is also a NSS volunteer for the last six years, social awardee by Ex. HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar and has also represented India in South Korea during the youth exchange program in the year 2019 is the second Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Foundation.
He said “We have been fortunate to create a robust organization of people who are experts in their respective fields,. We explore the ways and means of giving and ensuring the sustainability of giving in the field of Education, Health and Relief”.
Briefing about the Vision and Mission of the Foundation, Dr. Koul said People’s Hut Foundation’s Vision is for a Sustainable Change where we are committed towards enhancing and scaffolding the primary education and health care facilities across India; which is only possible by creating large scale impact at the grassroot level. And Our mission is based on the belief that each life matters equally; hence we aim to provide better educational and health care opportunities especially to the underprivileged members of the community for making their lives healthy and more productive.
